Kathy Boast
was born in Washington, DC May 21, 1970. In 1972 her family moved
to James Island (Charleston), SC until June of 1984. Her father's career moved
the family 3 times before returning to Charleston in 1991 where she met her husband, Gene Tschudy. His Naval career moved them to St. Mary's, GA,
to Honolulu, Hawaii
for 5 years, and now they are back living in the Lowcountry.
Moving to Hawaii was a dream for this soon to be photographer. She says she
will never forget getting off the plane November 10, 1997 and taking her first
pictures of Hawaii before she ever made it to baggage claim. Kathy
developed her love for Hawaii and photography because of the people she met.
"The people I met taught me the true meaning of ALOHA. Aloha is a
spirit alive in each of us. When you find it, you will want to
share it with everyone you meet. For me, I saw the beauty of Hawaii and wanted
to capture it for the world to see. If I can help inspire one person to make a
difference, then I have achieved my goal."
Kathy Boast has ALOHA when it comes to helping to share her
talents of photography in the music world. Kathy shares a number of
photos without charge to musicians. She has freelanced for alohajoemagazine.com
since June 2000. Kathy's newest project includes a new stretch as
producer of Aloha Joe TV.
Filmed in Waikiki during the 2007 Hawaii Music Awards.
She has been the Official Photographer for the Hawaii Music Awards
and has had a number of photographs published in print and online.
