Here are some good reasons to WHY you should consider wearing Dansko Shoes.

According to the American Podiatric Medical Association October 5, 2002 in “Answers to Frequently Asked Questions on Feet and Podiatric Medicine” “the average person takes 8,000 to 10,000 steps a day.” Imagine how many steps each of you take everyday.  With that in mind, it is easy to understand why it is vital to wear comfortable shoes.

Danskos are Danish clogs that are specially designed and patented. Dansko proudly carry the seal of acceptance by the American Podiatric Medical Association.

Features and Benefits

The major features and benefits of the Dansko clogs are the padded collar for comfort, the deep reinforced toe box for a roomier fit, the anatomically contoured footbed for proper fit and support, the flexible polyurethane outsole for shock absorption, and a heel counter for protection and stability.

Dansko clogs have a padded instep collar designed for comfort.  It is made of leather with a foam cushion inside. The collar keeps the upper from pinching or binding on your instep as you walk.

Dansko clogs have a deep reinforced toe box for a roomier fit.  This allows your toes have plenty of room to spread naturally which promotes proper blood circulation. This feature also helps to prevent corns, calluses, and other problems.  A tight fitting toe box can also cause other problems, but the lining inside the Dansko Shoe helps to maintain the depth.  According to the American Podiatric Medical Association, “corns and calluses are caused by friction and pressure from skin rubbing against bony areas when wearing shoes.”

Something else that makes a Dansko clogs a great shoe for your foot is the anatomically contoured footbed, designed for proper fit and support. It supports your foot evenly by distributing your weight proportionally over the entire shoe. It also has a dominant arch support that cradles your foot. The socklining is non-allergenic so that it does not cause a chemical reaction with your body chemistry.

Dansko clogs have a flexible polyurethane outsole for shock absorption. Polyurethane is lightweight meaning Your feet are not tired at the end of the day and Your legs do not ache.

The stabilizing bar is built into the inner frame of the sole.  It provides stability and support.   It is a deterrent to pronation- the turning in of the feet.   The rocker bottom helps to propel you forward in the walking motion.

The sole is made of an anti-skid thread which is flexible.

Dansko clogs have a heel counter for protection and stability.  It shields your heel from getting blisters.  It also keeps the leather from collapsing with wear.
