After returning from my Hawaiian Adventure in June 2004 I was finally able to make the time to addend a Travel Writing Workshop in Charleston, SC taught by award winning Travel writer, Sharon Lloyd Spence.  Sharon is married to a photographer so this isn't up here to  suck up here to go on all expensive paid trips with her as her photographer. If you are interested in a new adventure and want to travel, Sharon's workshop is a good introduction on HOW TO DO IT and you will learn  you need to just stop being scared of being scared and just do it. Sharon teaches you how to go about doing it and how many zillions of opportunities there are you just have to be willing to work.

 There are so many styles of writing and lots of different markets.  That's why on this site, kathyboast.com I am interested in what you have to say. I shoot a few different styles myself.  I am currently excepting written stories from other writers on subject matters that are related to Hawaii, Sea Turtles or sea life, "Southern Living" or other interesting subjects that I might be able to help provide images for. My hope is to not only help educate people about the things I photograph, but to help inspire other artist to do their craft. 

 I always have wanted to help inspire teachers and students.  If you are interested in using some of my images in a paper, please let me know. Papers for school projects do not need to ask for permission before using the image unless there is a note on the page or photo.  It would be inspiring to me to receive an e-mail saying which images you used. That will be great to help to me in knowing what kinds of photos and pages I may want to continue to keep online or what to develop more of.

      I will be recreating this site over the next few months into different sections that will fit with the subjects I photograph.  If you are interested in submission of stories or story ideas, please feel free to pass them along.   All articles and photos will be considered and if the style fits with the site I will be happy to publish your piece. I do not pay for articles written for the web, I do give credit and link to your site or I can help to get something basic on the web so others can learn about YOU. I am a believer that sometimes it's good to have your work used on other sites. If you are interested in using my images on other sites,  in most cases I do not charge a fee to allow my images to be used, I just ask for credit and a link if possible.  Just because I don't have something on the web doesn't mean it's not in a pile of photos to scan, so ask! Or I might be able to go out and shoot the images for you. Give me a camera and a purpose and I'm out the door! (if the weather is good)
