Don Ho was more than just an Icon for Hawaii, he was someone who helped inspire the future of Hawaii. I will never forget meeting Don Ho for the first time out at KoOlau Golf Course. I got my first "lucky shot" the day I met him. A few months later when my family came to town I took them and brought my photo album with the photos of us first meeting and got him to sign the one photo... He saw there was a double of that photo and asked me to sign one for HIM... that really meant a lot to me for someone like Don to cheer me on. I never will forget that so I know for me Don's ALOHA will always live in my soul and spirit... I did make it a point to stop by and see him on my last trip to Hawaii. I did ask them if I could take a few shots... he said yes and then walked with me back to the back stage area asking me about my photography and stuff.... He was still sharp on details from years before and was still packing them in. Hope you guys don't mind me sharing a few photos and memories....

March 31, 2007 ----- Someone asked me about my slide shows I did a while back. Boy... it's been at least 16 months since I had them online. I THINK they work. Remember, all the files are found on MY computer... So I'm assuming these transferred OK.
I made these slide shows back a while ago so the photo show doesn't match up to the music. HEY... it was my first try at making slide shows. The Windows Media Player one does a little better than the Photo Show. These photos on this slide show are for personal enjoyment and also to introduce you to THE VOICE of THESE ISLANDS. - Danny Couch. (I am a big fan of his music - It's his music that inspired me to start shooting Hawaiian Photos back in 1999) If you enjoy the slide show - please send me an e-mail. I got these photos back online from when I had them posted on another site. Some of the photos I no longer have except for what you see here. Please if you like the photos and want to use them on another website, ASK and use your own photo hosting. I may change files around from time to time. Also if you USE any of my photos, USE MY photos with ALOHA...
